PROGRAME LIST
International Competition
- An international competition of foreign cinema will be held within the framework of the festival. 10 full-length feature films will be selected for participation


Central Asian Competiton
- Within the framework of the Bishkek International Film Festival 2025, a Central Asian competition will be held, in which film directors from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan will take part
Kyrgyz Box
- The competition will showcase films from Kyrgyzstan, including national box office leaders.
Participating filmmakers will have the opportunity to compete within a professional, industry-recognized platform

Honour Countries
The French-German Week is a vibrant program organized in collaboration with the festival’s guest countries of honor — France and Germany.
The lineup features three landmark films from each country, highlighting the depth, diversity, and artistic strength of European cinema.
This collaboration symbolizes a deepening of cultural exchange and opens new horizons for engagement among audiences, professionals, and filmmakers
CAF pitch
- 10 film projects in development from Central Asian countries will be selected and presented at the Bishkek Film Festival 2025.
We welcome all applications, but our priority is to discover new talent and support emerging directors working on their debut projects

Central Asian Distribution Network
- The Central Asian Distribution Network, part of the Bishkek International Film Festival, fosters regional cooperation in film distribution. By connecting producers, distributors, cinemas, and audiences, it supports local films and expands their reach both nationally and internationally
Retrospective
- The festival will feature a retrospective marking the 90th anniversary of renowned Kyrgyz director Tolomush Okeev, presenting three of his iconic films. Retrospectives offer a cinematic reflection on the past, inviting audiences to revisit earlier works
