Sadyr Japarov
President of the Kyrgyz Republic
“We hope that within the next five to six years we will witness a creative revival reminiscent of the 1960s–1970s—an era that produced true masterpieces of Kyrgyz cinema and visual arts and that this momentum will lead to a new cultural renaissance. Today, Kyrgyz cinema is entering a period of renewal, and it is especially important that this process is supported by meaningful initiatives that unite creators, professionals, and audiences. The Bishkek International Film Festival is one such significant event. It contributes to the development of culture and art in Kyrgyzstan, encourages creative and professional exchange, and opens new opportunities for filmmakers to share experience, form partnerships, and present their work to wider audiences. At the same time, the festival promotes our country on the international stage, strengthening cultural ties and expanding dialogue through the language of cinema. The focus on the Central Asian region and national cinema added a unique charm to the festival and helped it stand out among others. I am confident that the Bishkek International Film Festival will become a strong and enduring tradition—one that supports the growth of national cinema, inspires new achievements, and helps Kyrgyz Republic’s creative voice be heard around the world. I invite everyone to take an active part in the screenings, discussions, and educational programs held within the framework of the festival, and I wish all participants success, inspiration, and memorable impressions.“

Mirbek Mambetaliev
Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic
“It is a great honor for us to welcome representatives of the global film industry to Bishkek. These days, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic has become a meeting place for diverse cultures, perspectives, and complex histories. We are truly delighted to present a rich selection of profound and artistically powerful films from around the world. Our country has always been a land of peace and harmony, uniting different cultures and standing ready to face modern challenges as a free and open nation. Art — and cinema in particular — holds a unique power: it inspires humanity toward compassion and purity, and invites us to experience the destinies of others through the lens of storytelling. The Bishkek International Film Festival is a cultural platform created to share new experiences, discover fresh perspectives, and spark creative energy. Every year, the festival welcomes film professionals from Europe, Asia, America, and Central Asia. Their participation elevates the event to an international level and transforms it into a vibrant and meaningful celebration. From the moment the lights dim in the cinema halls, the magic of film takes hold — uniting millions of viewers across the globe through shared stories and emotions. Bishkek has now become part of this great cinematic universe. The symbol of our festival — a gleaming bronze statue of the snow leopard — not only represents our city but also honors the grandeur of nature, the richness of our culture, and the devotion of all those who dedicate themselves to the arts. I warmly congratulate all participants and guests of the Bishkek International Film Festival. Welcome to Bishkek—welcome to the incredible world of cinema!“

Dzhunushaliev Aibek
Mayor of Bishkek
“The Bishkek International Film Festival reflects our country’s strong and growing interest in art and culture. In recent years, we have seen how films created in and filmed in Kyrgyz Republic have gained new life and meaning, becoming what we might call “sprouted art.” The festival is designed to strengthen the position and role of Kyrgyz cinema on the global stage and to bring together local film enthusiasts and international filmmakers. It serves as a platform for creative exchange, professional dialogue, and the sharing of experience, contributing to the development of cinematography and festival culture in our country. I express my sincere gratitude to everyone who contributes to organizing this important event and to everyone who help make Bishkek a city of international film festivals. I also extend my congratulations to film lovers and creators from Kyrgyz Republic and around the world, and I invite all participants to take an active part in the film screenings, discussions, and master classes held as part of the festival. May the Bishkek International Film Festival continue to promote the language of peace and the wisdom of art, strengthen mutual understanding among peoples, and inspire hospitality and brotherhood.”
